A quick Google search for the word 'Android Messages' will throw up quite a few results, with even more being added each day. What is Android Messages? It's a messaging application for Android phones, which is a client program that allows multiple devices to communicate via the internet over a wireless network. It allows for chat, video conferencing and the like.
In the past there has been one free application that allow Android phones to communicate, and it was called Android Messenger. It is completely free to download, but can only be used on selected Google phones. If you have an unlocked handset from Google, then you can use this application. Even if you can't see the free service, try searching the Google Play Store for a phone that is compatible with the application and use it to sign up for it. The problem you have with this is that it is really not worth your time, because you will only end up wasting your money buying in additional services.
So why not use the free Android application instead? Well, because if it were free then there would be hundreds of people using it would start to get congested. That is not to say that it is not any good at all though. But the free version only supports the basic functions such as sending and receiving pictures and videos. But, that is OK because it is better than nothing. You can easily find alternative ways to talk to people other than by chatting through a PC and by using a smartphone. Not everyone likes to chat via phone all the time, so these applications are a great alternative for Android users.
